1. Who we are
Local Site Growth is a sole trader business based in Christchurch, New Zealand ("we", "us", "our"). This policy applies to localsitegrowth.com and is issued under the Privacy Act 2020.
2. Information we collect
Directly from you: name, business name, business type, email, phone number, and any project details submitted via our contact or demo request form. We do not collect payment or financial information through the website. Automatically: your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages viewed, via the analytics tool described in clause 4.
3. How we use it
To respond to enquiries, prepare a free first page demo, and deliver, invoice, and support any project you engage us for. Automatically collected data is used in aggregate to improve the website. We do not sell or rent your information, and do not use it for any purpose beyond what it was collected for.
4. Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4), which sets cookies and begins collecting aggregate, non-identifying usage data when a page loads. We do not run advertising pixels or retargeting. You may disable cookies in your browser at any time; the site will continue to function.
5. Third parties and overseas disclosure
We use third-party providers for website hosting, image and font delivery, email delivery, and site analytics. Each receives only what is needed to perform its function and is not authorised to use it for any other purpose. Some of these providers process data on servers outside New Zealand, including in the United States, as an ordinary part of their service.
6. Retention
Enquiry information not resulting in a project is retained for a reasonable period, then deleted. Information relating to an engaged project is retained for the duration of that engagement; financial records are retained for at least seven years, as required under New Zealand tax law.
7. Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to your information is limited to what is necessary, and we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. If a breach involving your information is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, as required under the Privacy Act 2020.
8. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you by emailing info@localsitegrowth.com. If unsatisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz or 0800 803 909.
